Cardiologs launched a new study this week to compare its AI-based arrhythmias detection process based on Apple ECG data with the standard 12 lead Afib detection.
Participants hospitalized for ablation or cardioversion or having a cardiac rhythm consultation at the investigational center will have Apple Watch ECG recordings done simultaneously with 12-lead ECG measurements performed following the existing in-stay subject monitoring protocol.
AI-AW (Artificial Intelligence with Apple Watch ECG data) from Cardiologs platform will then be compared to standard manual 12-lead ECG reviewed by cardiologists for AF detection. The new study is expected to be completed by June 15, 2021, and will have 200 participants.
