Ed Sheeran Announces Five More Albums Before Retiring From Music
Taking inspiration from director Quentin Tarantino, who plans to direct only 10 films in his lifetime, Ed Sheeran claimed that he will be releasing five more albums before retiring.

Ed Sheeran is getting ready to release his new single, Azizam, on April 4 and his fans won’t have to wait long for more music. While appearing on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, the singer shared exciting news about his sixth album. Taking inspiration from director Quentin Tarantino, who plans to direct only 10 films in his lifetime, Sheeran claimed that he will be releasing five more albums before retiring. His next album will be called Play, followed by Pause, Fast Forward, Rewind and Stop. This concept has been in Sheeran’s mind since he was 18 and he plans to stop releasing albums once this series is complete.
In a conversation with Fallon, the singer said, “When I was like 18, I had an idea for like 10 albums, and it was Plus, Multiply, Divide, Subtract, Equals and then Play, Pause, Rewind, Fast Forward, Stop. So I’ve always wanted to do 10. I’m kind of a bit obsessed with Tarantino and I heard he was doing 10 films, and he’s got his side projects. So I’m like, I want to do my 10 and, now and then, do a side project here and then. “
