Walmart Stocking Stuffer

As a mom of two hungry teenagers, I do the bulk of my grocery shopping at Walmart to stay within our grocery budget while still snagging items like delicious baked goods and treats from the deli section hot bar. And, lately, while making my weekly Walmart grocery run, I've been perusing the seasonal aisles to see what holiday treats, gifts, and stocking stuffers are on display at the retail chain.

I've grabbed quite a few holiday gift items while shopping at Walmart, from cozy Christmas socks for my kids to candy cane-shaped treats for my dogs. And, I've found lots of food-focused holiday gift ideas, too, like Hell's Kitchen hot sauce sets and gummy pickle spear candies. But there's one holiday Walmart item—priced at just $1—I'm stocking up on this season.

$1 Mini Nutella Jars at Walmart

It’s no secret that Nutella is delicious. The chocolate hazelnut spread can be used in recipes like Nutella-stuffed French toast or served as a dip for snacks like apple slices or pretzels. It’s perfect in brownies and cookies, and is simply divine drizzled into a crepe with some strawberries and whipped cream. In my house, everyone loves Nutella, right down to the kid who’s the pickiest eater, so this year I'm stuffing everyone's stocking with the spread.

No, I’m not cramming a full jar of Nutella into my teenagers’ stockings this Christmas morning (although I’d be thrilled if someone put one in mine). Instead, I’m gifting my kids with the cutest $1 jars of Nutella I found in the holiday section at Walmart. These delightful little 1-ounce glass jars of Nutella fit perfectly into my kids’ stockings and, as an extra-merry bonus, they’re adorned with a holiday-designed label that really adds to the festiveness.

The mini Nutella jars look exactly like their larger counterparts simply shrunk down. They’re the perfect single serving of Nutella, so I’m sure my kids will want to toss them into their lunchboxes or take them on long holiday car rides. I’m so sure they’ll be a hit, in fact, that I stocked up last time I saw them at Walmart.

And I’m not alone in my love of miniature Nutella jars. TikTokers are discovering and sharing the jars, too. “These holiday-themed jars are the perfect stocking stuffer,” proclaimed TikToker @walmartjoy. “They’re just $1 each!”

I share their enthusiasm, and I know my teenagers will, too, when they find these sweet little Nutella jars in their stockings on Christmas morning. In the meantime, I’ll be fulfilling their Nutella cravings by whipping up a batch of Hot Chocolate Cookie Cups.
